Wine Tasting: Look Your Best With 4 Staple Items

There is no fun of drinking wine with board shorts and sandals… specially in Mexico. Let’s save yourself the embarrassment of staying outside the vineyard watching everyone else enjoy their wine in their fancy outfits. Therefore below I will share with you 4 staple items to have you looking your best in your next wine tasting voyage.

Let’s get started

The Hat

Starting from the top and probably the most iconic and must have item: The Hat. People can say that you want to make sure you cover yourself form the sun and whatever, but let me be honest… it just looks really cool. You can get yourself a decent hat down in Mexico while you are down there and it will run you around $15-$20 dlls. Problem solved, let’s move on to the shirt and vest.

The Shirt

Go ahead and show your personality with your shirt. This is the item that you can play around with colors and patterns. I chose this time a small floral pattern with tones of red and blue form Banana Republic (similar)

The Vest

In addition the vest In Mexico is one of the most iconic items that every body owns. Therefore I’m wearing one of my favorite items go wine tasting from Salvatore Ferragamo… let’s say I look at this item as an “investment” piece. I love the way it looks and how versatile it is.

The Jeans

Finally the jeans are by Paige and I love how comfortable they are… yes they are white but because they are jeans they actually wash really well and stains do come out relatively easily.

IMPORTANT TIP: My recommendation is to wear a comfortable pair of shoes that are older and that you can “trash” literally as the terrain is rough on the shoes. Trust me on this one. Leather shoes are good to go wine tasting as they can be cleaned from the dust and dirt. Be ready to send them to your shoe guy as soon as you come go back home.
